Pfrtp: per Flow Rate Based Transport Protocol

چکیده
The important research issue that is to be tackled in multihop ad hoc wireless network is the guarantee of fairness for concurrent flows in rate based transport protocol (Radunovic et al 2004). In this chapter, throughput unfairness of concurrent flow is analyzed. The end-to-end throughput of a packet flow degrades significantly with the increase in the number of its transmission hops. Fairness can be analyzed in two angles viz per node fairness and per flow fairness. In this chapter per flow fairness of concurrent ATP flow is analyzed.

Promoting the use of reliable rate-based transport protocols: the Chameleon protocol
Rate-based congestion control, such as TFRC, has not been designed to enable reliability. Indeed, the birth of TFRC protocol has resulted from the need for a congestion-controlled transport protocol in order to carry multimedia traffic. However, certain applications still prefer the use of UDP in order to implement their own congestion control on top of it. The present contribution proposes to ...
متن کاملNumerical Analysis of Inlet Gas-Mixture Flow Rate Effects on Carbon Nanotube Growth Rate
The growth rate and uniformity of Carbon Nano Tubes (CNTs) based on Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) technique is investigated by using a numerical model. In this reactor, inlet gas mixture, including xylene as carbon source and mixture of argon and hydrogen as carrier gas enters into a horizontal CVD reactor at atmospheric pressure. Based on the gas phase and surface reactions, released carbon...
متن کاملSABUL: A High Performance Data Transfer Protocol
The paper describes SABUL, an application level data transfer protocol for data intensive applications over high bandwidth-delay product networks. SABUL is designed for reliability, high performance, fairness, and stability. This unidirectional protocol uses UDP to transfer data and TCP to send back control messages. A rate based congestion control that tunes the inter-packet transmission time ...

Wireless Body Sensor Networks (WBSNs) involve a convergence of biosensors, wireless communication and networks technologies. WBSN enables real-time healthcare services to users. Wireless sensors can be used to monitor patients’ physical conditions and transfer real time vital signs to the emergency center or individual doctors. Wireless networks are subject to more packet loss and congestion. T...
